I believe in the power of connections to heal.

Ability to find answers when we ask the right questions.

Wisdom of keeping the questions alive inside us.

Strength to see that we are not alone even when we feel isolated.

Transformation of past wounds into freedom, joy and meaning.

I am a licensed psychologist. I trained to be present, real, approachable, and clear. I strive to be honest, connected, and supportive. My experience confirms that intention, commitment, and awareness leads to reliable transformation and healing.

As for my background:

I was born and raised in Israel, where I worked for many years as a journalist and a theater director (which means: I have an accent and some Israeli traits I cannot change like being direct and resourceful).

After moving to Alaska, I started a new path as a psychotherapist. (which means: I have experienced some major transitions and I have a deep understanding of change).

Education:

Master’s degree in counseling psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies and a doctorate degree from Alaska Pacific University. (side note: most of my real education comes from life experience and implementing the inner wisdom of my client.)

Training and certifications:

I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Sensorimotor, Hypnotherapy, and drama and art therapy. I am certified in psychedelic assisted treatment. (In common terms: I am truly committed to implementing new and innovating approaches to psychotherapy)

Experience:

Through the years I worked as a clinician with diverse populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I specialize in treating trauma, mood disorders, and anxiety. (clarification: I am knowledgeable about diagnosis but i don’t forget the person behind the labels)

In recent years I discovered the new and exciting world of integrating behavioral health in primary care. I founded and managed an integrated behavioral health program at Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center in Alaska. I’m continuing to learn and practice the connection between mind, body, and heart. (in common terms: emotions and health are inseparable)

My commitment to you:

∞   continue learning,

∞  be honest & sincere,

∞  do my very best so you can find your very best.
