A safe and welcoming environment to explore and heal
LGBTQ affirmative psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy for non-heterosexuals individual which focuses of providing a space to work towards authenticity, self-acceptance, and pursuing life goals. It is based on embracing a positive view of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer identities and relationships. It addresses the negative influences that homophobia, transphobia, and being a minority in a pre-dominant culture has on LGBTQ individuals.
The basis premises is: “it is okay to be you”, “I want to know beyond doubt that I support you being who you are. Being affirmative means I will treat you with dignity, respect and affirmation you deserve”, and now … let start working.
